How it works

From the bid board to your inbox.

Five steps, done for you twice a week. Here's exactly what happens between an agency posting a job and you deciding whether to bid it.

  1. We watch the boards
  2. We read the schedule
  3. We sort it to your trade
  4. You get one email
  5. You bid or pass
01

We watch the boards

  • We check six public sources early every Tuesday and Friday morning.
  • Utah: Bonfire, the state bid portal (U3P), UDOT, and the Public Notice Website, where small towns and districts post.
  • Idaho: Idaho Transportation Department lettings.
  • Wyoming: Wyoming DOT lettings.
  • Only public construction work. Supply and service bids, like janitorial or office equipment, are filtered out.
  • When a town's public notice repeats a job that's already on a bid board, you get it once.
02

We read the schedule

  • When the agency posts its documents publicly, we open them and find the bid schedule: the list of pay items.
  • Every line comes out with its description, quantity and unit. For example, Curb & Gutter Type 2 · 95 FT.
  • Idaho and Wyoming DOT publish a bid-item list on every job, so those always have quantities.
  • Scanned or locked documents can't be read yet. You still get the job, close date and link.
  • We never log in to anything or pass a bot check. If it's behind a login, we link you to it instead.
03

We sort it to your trade

  • Each line item is matched to one of 13 trades: concrete, asphalt and base, underground, structures, signs and striping, electrical, fencing, landscaping, demolition, roofing, mechanical, general and engineering.
  • Overhead items like mobilization, bonds, survey and contingency are left out, so you only see real work.
  • Want something more specific? Give us your own words, like "road base" or "manholes", and we'll pull those lines on every job, whatever trade they're filed under.
04

You get one email

  • Tuesday and Friday at 6 AM, one email covers every new job in your trades and states.
  • Each job shows the title, agency, close date and a button to the official posting.
  • Pro shows your line items and quantities right in the email. Basic shows how many of your items the job has.
  • Jobs are sorted by close date, soonest first.
  • Anything you've seen that closes within 7 days gets a closing-soon heads-up.
  • No new jobs for you? No email. We don't send filler.
05

You bid or pass

  • Your scope and quantities are right there, so the go/no-go takes about 30 seconds.
  • If it's a go, open the official posting and bid off the agency's own documents and addenda. That's always the final word.
  • Change your trades, states or items, or pause alerts, anytime from the Manage my alerts link in every email. No password needed.
